I found it aesthetically pleasing and extremely durable. The blade has a good curve, allowing you to rest your middle finger on it comfortably. Chopping all manner of vegetables and meat was easy. If you're looking for a reasonably priced chef's knife get Mariful.

This is the most widely recognized style of chef's knife in the West. The belly of the blade has a pronounced curve that tapers to a sharp tip, which is best if you prefer to cut using a rocking motion (meaning the knife never leaves the cutting board, and you use the belly curve to slice through food).

I like the very classic Japanese look, with full tang and visible rivets. The blade curves up at the end, which makes certain tasks a little easier, particularly quickly mincing herbs. The handle, while not rounded, is incredibly smooth, so none of the edges dig into the palm. And the bolster is nicely curved to fit the middle finger underneath, with thumb placed comfortably on the blade.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Just as shown with box and knife was in a plastic bag with a thin coat of oil. Handle is nice with just a tiny bit that looked to be sanded down just a bit too much on the inside by the tang. Caught a bit on some paper due to some burs, nothing the belt I use to remove the fine burs on other knives didn't fix. Even with the paper bent 9n half (no crease) the knife grabbed and started cutting. The sheath is pretty soft leather, I see the closure being cut at some point. But I'm very happy with it. It arrived right after dinner so didn't get to test it on the pork loin.

I like the smaller handle. You will need to clean knife good before using, well at least I did. It had oil over the knife and needed cleaned, very happy with my knife. Probably will buy another one.

This a great product, the design is very ergonimic, a good knife in your hand feels strong and robust. It promotes good grip and rests in your palm securely. It is light enough to cut the vegetables and heavy enough for meat. It has a good weight. Craftmaship and design is superb very much recomended.
